In this work, I explore the delicate balance between internal stillness and external turbulence. I’ve rendered a portrait that emerges from a field of bold, expressive strokes, symbolizing a sense of resilience and identity persisting amidst disorder. The vibrant, chaotic application of pink, red, and deep green represents life’s inherent unpredictability, while the subject’s steady gaze acts as an anchor within the frame. By allowing the paint to partially obscure the figure, I am documenting the way our surroundings often overlap with our sense of self. This piece is my invitation to find beauty and a centered calm even when the world feels fragmented.
