We Regret To Inform You!

Description

I painted We Regret to Inform You to show the quiet moment right after getting a rejection letter. The woman is dressed up in a dark dress and gold jewelry, sitting directly on the wooden floor as she processes the bad news.

This piece looks at how hard it is to put your heart and energy into your work, only to be turned down by cold words on paper. Even with the open letter in her hand and the envelope on the floor, she does not look defeated. Her posture shows quiet strength and pride. The brick wall behind her creates a steady space where disappointment and dignity live side by side. It honors everyone who keeps striving, reminding us that a formal “no” never takes away our worth.
