Description

This work explores the profound obligation that binds us as a community. The composition features two figures in an intimate alignment against a vibrant orange backdrop, their gaze acting as a visual meditation on the things we own in common—the water, the trees, and the wild places of the soul. By capturing the protective posture of one figure behind the other, I illustrate the essential duty of care often lost in modern life.

I utilized a high-contrast palette of deep mahoganies and electric blues to emphasize the “inner glow” and human resilience of my subjects. The striking red shadow signifies the weight of our shared history and the presence of our obligations to one another. This piece is an affirmation of communal responsibility, honoring the strength found when we recognize that our individual existences are part of a larger, sacred whole that must be guarded and preserved together.
